Here's my animal walk of a hyena. Specifically a spotted hyena. Note for future students, do not attempt to animate the spots in your first year.
Personally I was hoping to do an animal like a polar bear or rhino, something big, heavy and unique. Especially after a trip to the zoo for reference ended in failure because the damn things did nothing but sleep, curled up in little balls. But I think it turned out okay, except for the tail.

but ya, if u find some time to do a heavy walk cycle, i recommend it. or something with a long neck or tail (something that swings)
